I converted a toy Bruder excavator to working, RC electric excavator with boom, bucket and arm powered by servo actuators that I made, a turntable powered by a servo I modified to turn 360 degrees, and tracks also powered by modified 360 degree servos.
I reinforced the boom and arm with aluminum plate. I made a new bucket out of steel.
